System Architecture
ProxNet is built as a set of interacting modules that work together to provide identity-based access and device management. The core gateway handles device registration and authentication; the identity layer verifies users and devices; the policy engine applies access rules; and the monitoring layer records activity for audit and analytics. All components communicate over secure channels and share a consistent data model for institutional consistency.
Module Structure
Core modules include: Device Registry for onboarding and lifecycle; Identity Verification for user and device binding; Access Control for policy enforcement; Activity Logging for audit trails; and Admin Dashboard for configuration and reporting. Each module can be deployed in line with your infrastructure and scaled independently where needed.
Integration Flow
ProxNet interacts with other campus systems through a well-defined API and optional sync agents. ERP and LMS platforms can consume identity and attendance data; biometric or card systems can feed into ProxNet for unified verification. Integration is designed to be controlled and auditable, so institutions retain visibility over data flow between ProxNet and existing software.
Security Layers
Identity verification uses multi-factor options and device binding to reduce impersonation. All sensitive data is encrypted in transit and at rest. The system supports device fingerprinting and continuous monitoring so anomalous access can be flagged. Audit logging ensures every material action is recorded for transparency and compliance.
Scalability
The platform is designed to scale from single buildings to large, multi-site institutions. Components can be distributed across gateways and servers; the identity and policy layers support high throughput and caching. Deployment options include cloud-hosted, on-premise, and hybrid models so institutions can choose the right fit for their size and governance requirements.
